The vintage comes from two plots of different ages and orientations located in the Chassagne part of the appellation. The plots are respectively 9 and 3.70 ares.

Soil

The soil is brown limestone enriched with clay, slightly sloping, and quite stony.

Age of Vines

The smaller plot is 28 years old, while the larger one is 83 years old.

Tasting Notes

Bâtard-Montrachet reveals its power from a young age with firmness and strong aromas. The wines are very full-bodied, ample, and long on the palate with sumptuous aromas of toasted almonds, honey, and spices.
